Galyatető surrounded by pine and beech forests is one of the best known and popular holiday spots in the Mátra mountains. Its mild climate, exceptionally clean air and above average number of sunny days makes it a very popular amongst tourists throughout the year. Int he winter season, local ski hills and cross country ski trails makes the area one of the premier ski centre sin Hungary.

Our lodge is located at an elevation of 965 m. at the top of a hill. The 3 storey structure offers spectacular views of ski hills and the surrounding forest. The lodge is ideal for family vacations.

Accomodations: 1 double room and 5 rooms accomodating up to 4 guests. Each room has its own bathroom. Each room is equipped with a radio and satellite TV. There is a common lounge and a glassed-in observation deck.

Activities, excursions and sightseeing: Kékes – Mátraháza – Parádsasvár (glassworks) – Parád ( Paloc folk house) – Parádfürdő (carriage museum) – Gyöngyös – Recsik – Sirok – Eger

Hiking: Day outings to Mátraháza, Kékestető (1,014 m.), Mátraszentimre, Parád.

Directions: 80 km from Budapest. Head east on the M3 motorway and turn off to Gyöngyös. Daily scheduled bus and trains are available.
